No Fail Cut Out Sugar Cookie Recipe. I have tried several different ones and always come back to this one. There are few things more frustrating than cutting out sugar cookies, popping them in the oven, and having them spread and puff out of shape!
The cookies have an amazing vanilla flavor, neat edges, and the dough is easy to work with. A few tricks make sure the cookies don't spread while baking! While many sugar cookie recipes are a little bland, and frustratingly inconsistent in their texture (too sticky to roll out one minute, tough the next) we feel that this cut cookies out of the rolled dough and place on the prepared baking sheets.
Use a metal spatula to pick up the cookies if they stick to your work surface at all.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. With crisp edges, thick centers, and room for lots of decorating icing, i know you'll love them too. Put butter and sugar in the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment. Makes 3 dozen cookies (depending on size and shape).
